Expocomer 2010 in Panama

Expocomer 2010 will run in ATLAPA from March 3 to March 6 and expects to generate more than 100 million dollars in business transactions.  In this year the organizers of this commercial fair expect to have 500 companies from 23 countries in America, Europe and Asia.

Some of the countries represented are Brazil, India, United States, Costa Rica, Spain, France, Russia, Iran, Argentina, Cuba and Israel.  

Predictably enough some of the biggest exhibitors in Expocomer are some of Panama's most important trading partners such as Taiwan with 62 cubicles in an area of 540 square meters.  Taiwan's exhibition area will include delegations from 58 companies.  Taiwan has been an exhibitor for 27 consecutive years.  The companies the display their products are seeking to find new business contacts and trading partners in Central America.  Among the companies from Taiwan present in Expocomer this year are Amres Enterprise Co. Ltd., specializing in purified water dispensers, Best Stamp Inc. distributing crafts, Linkage Co. Ltd., whose business is notebooks, MP3, MP4, MP5 and mobile phones.

Israel is also present this year in Expocomer.  The Israeli delegation is seeking to increase its client base specially in technology sectors and security systems.  Among the Israeli companies participating are WebUsa, Magen Group, Knock N Lock, Ofek Group and 7 X.

France is also present in Expocomer with 14 companies within its cubicle called “ESPACE FRANCE”.  Some of the visiting companies are export leaders in France such as GDF-SUEZ, ALSTOM, MICHELIN, LOREAL, SANOFI, among others.  France currently has more than 40 companies with branches established in Panama including the group GDF-SUEZ, who produces energy. Also represented in Panama are airlines, environmental companies, mass transport equipment.  Other French companies are also considering establishing branches in Panama.  

Expocomer is also known as a "display window for international business".  Through Expocomer the participating companies have the opportunity to contact more than 2,500 companies with which the possibility of trade exists.  For the last three years Expocomer has reported an average of $115 million in transactions in spite of the recent economic crisis. 

The international real estate project on the old U.S. Howard military base managed by London & Regional is also there for the second consecutive year showing the development of the project and how far its gone.  

EXPOCOMER also hosts conferences where the speakers are internationally known figures such as ex-Presidents Venicio Cerezo, Guatemala, Francisco Flores, El Salvador and Ernesto Samper from Colombia who is guest speakers for this year.  

This is an event that must not be missed if you are looking for business opportunities and trading partners.
